Brown's BBQ

Published | Posted by Sonia Comisarenco

We have been on a quest to try barbecue spots in the area and are extremely happy to have found Brown's BBQ. It is a small, family-owned barbecue trailer located at 1901 S Lamar Blvd in Austin, Texas. The trailer has been serving up delicious barbecue since 2012, and it has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

The menu at Brown's Barbecue is simple, but it is all made with high-quality ingredients. The star of the show is the brisket, which is smoked for 12 hours over oak wood. The brisket is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Other smoked meats on the menu include ribs, sausage, and pulled pork. There are also a few other options, such as smoked chicken and tofu.

The sides at Brown's Barbecue are all homemade and a great addition to the delicious meats. The potato salad is creamy and flavorful, the beans are smoky and hearty, and the coleslaw is tangy and refreshing. There are also a few other sides to choose from, such as mac and cheese, cornbread, and green beans.

There are a few picnic tables to sit at, but most people prefer to take their food to go, as we did. We brought home brisket and sausage and the small portions of potato salad and coleslaw, which were enough for two people (no photos :(). I also added a salad to our plates, since we love our greens!

The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.

If you are looking for a delicious and affordable barbecue meal in Austin, I highly recommend Brown's BBQ, it is the best that we have found in the Austin area to date.
